To be on the safe side of questionable tasks (e.g. mining, tunnelling) the safety engineer should issue a welding permit. During the time the Leica DISTO™ is being used, there must be no danger of explosion. The Leica DISTO™ must not be used, not even for a short time, an explosive mixture may be present in the air.
